Mourinho clear for Chelsea return as Real confirms exit
Madrid announced on Monday that Mourinho will depart at the end of the season, after three turbulent terms in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu. And even though the French club are playing hard-ball with Real, the Italian's desire to join Madrid means a move will almost certainly be pushed through over the next few days.
The 50-year-old’s messy exit from Real was confirmed on Monday when club president made it public in a press conference at the Bernabeu at 8pm.

Perez said that no compensation would be payable either by coach or club, amid reports that there was a £12m release fee in Mourinho’s contract, which was due to expire in 2016.
Perez said: "No one has been sacked." He also said that he would have liked Mourinho to have continued but that the pressure at Real Madrid meant that the time had come to end the relationship.
"Sometimes the pressure here goes beyond the normal," he said. "And Mourinho has been here for three years: that makes him the longest-serving manager in the first division."
Mourinho is now widely expected to be confirmed as interim manager Rafael Benítez's replacement at Chelsea.
The Portuguese led Chelsea to five major domestic trophies, including back-to-back Premier League titles, in three seasons in charge of the Blues before leaving the club in 2007.
Since then, Mourinho has gone on to have a hugely successful spell in charge of Inter Milan - including guiding the Italian side to an unprecedented treble in 2010 - before moving to Madrid, where he won three titles during a mixed three-year spell.
