Swansea City: Michael Laudrup fired
Michael Laudrup was fired as Swansea’s manager on Tuesday, less than a year after winning England’s League Cup for the club’s first major trophy.
The Dane, who signed a new contract last March, is leaving the Premier League club after 20 months.

Laudrup had been under increasing pressure with the team winning just one of their last 10 league matches.
Laudrup's relationship with the club had reportedly been strained since a disagreement last summer.
The Dane's reputation was high at that point having guided the club to success in the Capital One Cup.
He was linked with other positions but stayed on at the Liberty Stadium.
Defender Garry Monk - the player rumoured to have been recently threatened with a brick by Chico Flores, although the club denied the reports - has been appointed as "head coach" for the time being, assisted by Swansea stalwart Alan Curtis.
Swansea (6-12-6) is 12th, two points above the relegation zone.
