Titan Premier League side Manchester United will battle EPL club FC Everton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley after beating West Ham United in a hard-fought replay match. Man United won an exciting 2-1 victory away against West Ham United in their quarter-final replay, with United goals from teenager Marcus Rashford and veteran Marouane Fellaini in the last FA Cup match ever played at famous old Upton Park before the Hammers move to the Olympic Stadium.

Popular eighteen-year-old Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for United at 54 minutes past West Ham goalie Darren Randolph from a pass by Anthony Martial in the quarter-final replay. After making his Manchester United debut in February, Rashford has scored 6 times in 11 games.

Next Marouane Fellaini made it 2-0 United by kneeing the ball home from Martial's cross. Fellaini scored his first goal for United since December, ending a 12 match goal drought. In a grandstand finish, James Tomkins headed in to give late hope to West Ham making it 2-1 at the famous historic old stadium with 11 minutes left in the match.

United’s superstar goalkeeper David de Gea made eight amazing saves including strikes from Andy Carroll and Cheikhou Kouyate to be named Man of the Match. Returning from a knee injury, striker Wayne Rooney came on in the final four minutes making his first appearance in two months. United defender Phil Jones said the thrilling win a "defining moment" in United’s campaign.

Van Gaal has delivered crucial wins at Liverpool and Manchester City as well as progressing in the FA Cup after United’s comprehensive 3-0 loss away to EPL second place Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United won the Emirates FA Cup Sixth Round replay on April 13, 2016 at Boleyn Ground against West Ham United FC.

Manchester United dominated against West Ham in the first 85 minutes and held firm to the end despite a late fight back from Slaven Bilic’s side to send United to Wembley with a favored chance to win the FA Cup trophy.

"I think we deserved it," said Man United manager Louis Van Gaal. "We controlled the game for 85 minutes and could have finished the game much earlier. They scored and made it very nervous, but David De Gea saved us with a fantastic save,” said Van Gaal. "But when you see the match, we have deserved it and had the bigger chances."

Van Gaal gets credit for starting his young talented eighteen-year-olds Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Marcus Rashford as Manchester United reached the FA Cup Semis for the first time since 2011. A goal from James Tomkins set up a grandstand finish, but the Manchester United defense held firm to the end, with David De Gea making a number of stunning saves.

Both United and West Ham are still hoping to end the England Premier League season in a top four spot to be eligible to compete in the 2016-17 Champions League. The Reds also hope to take home the 2016 Emirates FA Cup trophy at the end of the tournament. Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United next host Aston Villa on Saturday, while West Ham travel to Leicester on Sunday.
