Great FA Cup Manchester United v Crystal Palace tickets are for sale online at 1st4FootballTickets.com. On the road to the FA Cup Final, Man United entered the tournament in the third round as they hosted League One team Sheffield United at Old Trafford on January 9, 2016. In that game Wayne Rooney scored the only goal, and sub Memphis Depay scored a penalty kick winner. In the fourth round, Man United travelled to play Derby County at Pride Park. United’s skipper Wayne Rooney scored from outside the penalty area, and George Thorne equalized. Second half goals by Daley Blind and Juan Mata gave the Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils another win. United traveled to play League One club Shrewsbury Town in the fifth round. Chris Smalling, Mata, and Jesse Lingard all scored making it 3-0 United.

On March 13, Manchester United hosted their sixth-round battle with West Ham United. United opened the scoring with a free-kick from Dimitri Payet, and West Ham equalized with Anthony Martial's close-range finish resulting in a 1-1 draw with the game going to a replay at historic Boleyn Ground. In the replay, teenager Marcus Rashford opened the scoring in the second half and the lead was doubled by Marouane Fellaini. West Ham’s James Tomkins scored past David de Gea making the final score Man United 2-1 West Ham. Manchester United next played Everton at Wembley Stadium in the semi-finals. Fellaini opened the scoring in the first half. After the break, a penalty was given when Timothy Fosu-Mensah fouled Ross Barkley, but De Gea saved the shot by Romelu Lukaku. Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu shot went into Smalling's own net to level the scores. In added time, Anthony Martial scored the winner putting Man United through to the FA Cup Final. Martial's FA Cup semifinal winner was the highlight of the season so far for Manchester United supporters.

As a Premier League team, Crystal Palace also started in the third round traveling to play fellow Premier League team Southampton at St Mary's Stadium on January 9th, Crystal Palace won 2–1 with goals from Joel Ward and Wilfred Zaha. Oriol Romeu scored the equaliser. In the fourth round, Crystal Palace hosted Stoke City at Selhurst Park, and Zaha scored the only goal and winner. Crystal Palace played Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth round at White Hart Lane. Crystal Palace’s Martin Kelly scored the only goal at the end of the first half to advance Crystal Palace to the quarter-finals for the first time since 1995. Next CP faced Football League Championship side Reading at the Madejski Stadium earning a 2–0 win with goals from Yohan Cabaye and Fraizer Campbell putting CP into the last four for the first time in 21 years.

On April 24 Crystal Palace played Watford at Wembley in a repeat of the 2013 Football League Championship play-off final. Palace took the lead through a goal from Yannick Bolasie, and Watford equalized when Troy Deeney headed in a corner from José Manuel Jurado. In the 61st minute, Palace’s winning goal came from a Connor Wickham header. Manchester United’s fiery midfielder Belgium Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City defender Robert Huth were both given a three-match ban by the Football Association in Sunday’s tie at Old Trafford after Fellaini aimed an elbow at the German centre-back Huth after Huth pulled his hair.

Although the fight was not seen by match officials at the time it was caught on video, allowing the FA to review and decide the case. The pair will serve their suspensions immediately, with Huth missing Leicester's final two games of the season against Everton and Chelsea, and the first match of the 2016-17 season. The ban does not prevent Huth from taking part in the Community Shield. Fellaini will be out for United’s Premier League games against Norwich City and West Ham, and the home clash with Bournemouth on the final day as United strive for a top-four finish, but he will be available for United's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace. Manchester United have won six of their last seven games and are sure to be confident going into their first FA Cup Final since 2007.

Anthony Martial's injury-time goal saw United beat Everton and a massive celebration broke out as United's players went into the stands to embrace fans. Away from Old Trafford, United have scored 10 times in four games. This FA Cup clash against Crystal Palace should be as exciting as the 1990 decider between the two clubs, which ended 3-3 giving Sir Alex Ferguson his first trophy as Man United manager. The 1990 FA Cup win reportedly saved Alex Ferguson’s his job – and a win at Wembley for Louis van Gaal may do the same for United’s Danish manager. Amid rumors of who will start next season as manager, Jose Mourinho reportedly wants the job, and so does Ryan Giggs, who was earmarked to replace Van Gaal at the end of his three-year contract in 2017.

United are still in the hunt for a top four finish in the Premier League – with three spots left after the Foxes claimed the title. United are down points behind both Manchester City and Arsenal, but with a game in hand. United next travel to visit Norwich and West Ham before ending the season against Bournemouth at home. United have been drawn as the "away" side for the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, meaning that they will wear white shirts, black shorts and white socks on May 21 at Wembley. Palace will be "home" side after winning a coin toss, meaning they can wear their traditional red-and-blue kit.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew hopes Leicester City's underdog success story ending in the 2016 Premier League title will inspire his side to victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley. Palace are not favored to beat United at Wembley but Pardew has called on his team to emulate the spirit shown by Leicester to create their own underdog story. "Leicester won it after 36 games, last year for 10 games they were in the best form. For nearly 50 games they've been the best in the country," said Pardew. "It's proof the underdog can do it. And it will give us a boost for the cup final. "Leicester have shattered the glass ceiling, and I thought it was impossible to break. They've gone and done it. Amazing,” continued Pardew. "Football isn't all logic. It's almost like some stardust has fallen on Leicester City Football Club - great for them. Let's hope it falls on us for the final."

Crystal Palace will fine South-Korean midfielder Lee Chung-Yong for rude comments he made about his manager Alan Pardew. In a recent interview with the media, Lee accused Pardew of making "absurd" decisions and claimed Pardew forgot how many substitutions he has made, and is ill-tempered during matches. "He has made an error," Pardew said. "He said it got lost in translation, and that can happen. I have had it before.”

"But some of it is not lost in translation and he will get a fine for that. You cannot criticize things that did not happen,” added Pardew. "I have dealt with it because he is incorrect on a couple of points there, about team selection and stuff like that. It was a mistake on his part and he will be punished for that in terms of a fine." Palace host Stoke City on Saturday to fight for a victory that will guarantee their top-flight safety out of the relegation zone with a game to spare. Pardew will not risk the fitness of Wilfried Zaha by playing him in the match, since he has a minor hamstring tear. "Wilf has a problem that will still keep him out for this weekend," stated Pardew. "Hopefully he will be okay for the final.” "We cannot take a risk with him. There is no way he can play this weekend against Stoke, he could possibly play at Southampton.” Palace will go head-to-head with United at Wembley on May 21 in a repeat of the 1990 FA Cup final.
