Champions League: Barcelona & PSG go through
FC Barcelona qualified for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals last night after beating 2-1 Manchester City at the Camp Nou to secure a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Just like they did in Manchester last month, Lionel Messi and Dani Alves scored again for the Spanish giants ending any hopes the Citizens had to comeback from the first leg 2-0 defeat.
Vincent Kompany had cancelled out Messi’s goal with 1 minute to go but Dani Alves netted from close-range in stoppage time to give Barca a well-deserved win.
Several controversial decisions were made by the French referee, Stephane Lannoy, who denied Barcelona a penalty and called offside what it seemed to be a legit goal from Neymar in the first half.
He also denied Dzeko a spot-kick after he was brought down by Gerard Pique inside the area in the second period. Instead he showed Pablo Zabaleta a second yellow card for protesting leaving Man City with 10 men.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain eased into the Champions League last eight for a second straight season with a 2-1 victory (6-1 aggregate) against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Germans went to the Parc des Prices knowing it would have taken a miracle to come back from the 4-0 loss in the first leg and they almost believed it when Sidney Sam scored in the 6th minute of the match.
But Marquinhos equalized soon after and Lavezzi added another goal in the second half ending any hopes Leverkusen had left.
